The Indo-European root *VID- expresses the idea of ​seeing, both with physical eyes and mind’s eye, so even the idea of ​knowing.

From Late Latin valor, derived from the classic verb valere, be strong, vigorous, have merit.

With regard to the names, “to have the force of meaning.” The Latin suffix -or means layout or state. From the Indo-European root *BAL-, which expresses the idea of life force.
