1) What is an order? An order is the coordinated cooperation between the various functions or parts of a whole, being the diversity of functions necessary for life in common. The general order is thus an arranged system of ever more broad and free structures, that is, an infinite hierarchy of interdependent functions and consciences, organized and chaired by directives and collaborating entities. There is no separation and it is in constant motion towards Unity.
2) Where is it present? The existence of a universal hierarchical Order is here recognised. In the Universe (the highest System) there are no prohibitions or obstacles to the incessant will of harmony of Order, made by organizing power. On reflection, order is the most striking property common to all the various relative systems, from Cosmos to Human Being, as it governs the existence of all creatures, ensures their development and exercises a super partes control, certainly transcending little human wills.
3) What is the direction of order? Order rules the new, which is not without rules, and is always both new and old. The New is not disorder, as it often seems to many. What distinguishes the real “new” from purely superficial changes is properly its order, which does not contradict the old. This ordering is due to the Law of Cosmos, namely, projection of universal Order in constant motion towards Unity.
4) What is its central and essential canon? Its central power is Number, which is the order and essence of all things: numbers associate and dissociate, creating and ordering endless infinities of qualitative combinations. The order of numbers has a perfectly flexiblity which gives rise to freedom. Number, the ordering Lord of Space, guarantees freedom and liberation, according to the hierarchical scale of Life, from One to Infinite. Order, in turn, is the key and code that make progressively intelligible the “relative but real” figure of Life and its many processes and creatures.
Heaven, the most beautiful image of Life and Space, is the Model of every real order and the only source of any legitimate authority.
5) How does order operate? Heaven’s order assigns the right place to each part of the whole (society or a human, planetary, solar, …system) according to its real function or ability to serve the Common Good. The laws of Sound and Light, governed by Number, reveal the simple complexity of manifestation and put order in the rich multiplicity according to the Seven fundamental qualities (seven intervals, colors…) which serve the One in a harmonic and golden way.
6) What is its fundamental value? The hierarchical order is the basis of ideal communion; there is no community without order. It is a universal law. A society or community, of any kind, religious or secular, cannot exist without an order. The many communities have to make one only, open and free; otherwise they are not a Communion. The basis of every order, organism and organization, is Unity.
7) What is the purpose of order and the liturgy to fulfill it? To turn a collectivity into a Unity (an Individual) is essential to have an ordering system. The real source and goal of Order is Freedom, which is the triumph of true Individuality. One who respects the freedom of others like his own can be considered free. To voluntarily give of “your own” freedom results in proportionally increased freedom. The universe is indeed free and ordered. It is a Cosmos: its liturgy, evident in splendid order or constant motion towards Unity, is the free and ordered dance of Life, consisting of laws, principles, functions and structures. The laws that organize the universe are therefore that set of general rules forming the great Cosmic Right, which all forms obey following their own rhythms, cycles and ability to resonate in harmony with celestial Will, the infinite One.
