There are over 7 billion of us on the planet now. One wonders, about the significance of this explosion of incarnating souls in the Great Unfolding Plan. Are they rushing to be present here in form for some great event that is in the process of appearing? You might think that, given the way the systems of the present civilizations seem to be unraveling.
It is becoming more and more clear how the warped concepts of “separative individualism” based on the illusion of separation, (each of us being separated from the from the whole of humanity) have twisted the basic realities of Physics to foster the extreme imbalances of people held in the slavery poverty and people living in extreme luxury, and the fanaticism of hate and fear that breeds all of the “isims” of the insane which are everywhere visible in our civilizations and societies.
It grows increasingly strange how a few individuals here and there through the Planet’s Nations can generate so much chaos and pain. The unfolding spiral that has generated our current civilizations is imploding and has been for years. As Yeats said, almost a hundred years ago,
THE SECOND COMING
Turning and turning in the widening gyre
The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.
Surely some revelation is at hand;
Surely the Second Coming is at hand.
The Second Coming! Hardly are those words out
When a vast image out of Spiritus Mundi
Troubles my sight: a waste of desert sand;
A shape with lion body and the head of a man,
A gaze blank and pitiless as the sun,
Is moving its slow thighs, while all about it
Wind shadows of the indignant desert birds.
The darkness drops again but now I know
That twenty centuries of stony sleep
Were vexed to nightmare by a rocking cradle,
And what rough beast, its hour come round at last,
Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born?
In 1919, Yeats was probably seeing part 2 of the World War which was soon to engulf the planet. Today our vision forward is enhanced by our experience. To avoid another trip around that insane cycle again, we need to be aware of what is lurking behind us. We need to know about and understand these fires, the most recent of which is actually at this moment slouching out of Israel.
“Let Me tell you how a great warrior achieved one of his greatest victories. He set fire to the steppes behind his own troops and gave a thousand horses to the prisoners, offering them escape. In terror they rushed to his enemy and spread fear there. On their heels his hordes came rushing, seeing no other way out. Quicker than flames they trampled down the foe. A short-sighted leader sets the fire behind the enemy forces, but the wise one kindles one behind his own.” (Illumination, III:II:19).
So, while very much aware of the possible outcomes, we cannot passively sit around and wait for something to happen. Even hoping that something good will happen is not enough. We must Will it, Demand that it manifest. In a word, rather than giving up, it is time to take over. We, people, those of us who are thinking and, if one is truly thinking, one is also Loving, we people have the opportunity and the ability. We must call in Love, Pure Reasoning Will. Nothing can stand in front of it.
We need to, and we can, create or cause to manifest the Plan. We can replace the illusory foundations of our present civilization with common sense. Common Sense is really just another word for Love, or Pure Reasoning Will. The ball as they say is so in our court!
