The seven aspects of Cancer

MOTTOS:

“I BUILD A LIGHTED HOUSE AND THEREIN DWELL”.

“LET ISOLATION BE THE RULE, AND YET THE CROWD EXISTS”.

ONE*

The first mother of all forms is water, and fire is their father. In Cancer (the ocean), life, consciousness and form merge into a quaternary. The motion of the annual cycle is reversed and begins to descend, and the rhythmic law of life is affirmed. The forms, now conceived, mature in the depth and set off to their conclusions; the spirit that inhabits them begins its own liberation.

TWO

The spatial waters, teeming with vibrating life, do not extinguish the fires, but submerge them. The light shines in the sea. Cancer is a sign of beginning, as Capricorn, Aries and Libra. What begins here is the vital power of the form principle, which covers life without limiting it. Throughout the Zodiac the drama of the creature is depicted and performed, which has to be born and die to let consciousness expand up to the most distant and luminous horizons.

In this sign it performs the first act of its sacrifice, and is born.

THREE

The light, the polarity, the organs, the peculiar qualities of every creature take shape and proportion according to a project particularly defined, predisposed by the third divine quality at the service of the supreme purpose.

The drawing repeats a predetermined pattern, in turn reworked continuously and initiated toward perfection – never however repeating the previous solutions exactly but subjecting them to innumerable variations. Such an imitation of the perfect model prevents the identical copy of what has been, and testifies to the creative freedom and the innovative power of divine intelligence.

The solutions of each theme are therefore always different, and at the same time tend to a single common model.

The great innovative power, which eliminates death and a definitive closure of the development, radiates with high tension from Cancer, which then transmits the third Ray.

FOUR

All forms, which are autonomous and free, grow and develop around their own very specific center, which establishes, holds and allows symmetries, and is the balancing principle. That point present in every creature, hidden, reflects the universal harmony of life; it is an active presence, as it has not only the task, but the power to continually reduce the imbalances, conflicts and disparities, always looking to the celestial model. It is the true point of reference of the whole formal psycho-physical structure, and by its nature it reacts to all the harmonic centers of any other living form.

It is a pulsating center: it is rhythmic and able to respond to all rhythms.

FIVE

Following the dictates of the third quality of the sign, the constructive forces carry out the project. Three and Five collaborate at full speed and almost coincide in their attributes. The innovative faculty of the Three, repeatedly mentioned, is necessary to imitate the model, which is infinite and heavenly. The outer veils (woven and supplied by the Five) must continually change and adapt in order to avoid the only true disaster, the identical duplication, which is fatal and absurd in the Infinite.

Throughout the bubbling of the building, however, the central nucleus of Fire, the seed of the spirit, remains unmoved and is the true master of the form.

SIX

The success of the form is ensured by the fact that its content is infinite: therefore, life triumphs and expresses itself. In this unlimited capacity, where every external point corresponds to a single internal point, the Abyssal finds in itself the Supreme, and vice versa.

This is the theorem of spiritual communion in Space. The inner Light illuminates the sea of life, and is inextinguishable.

SEVEN

In Cancer the seventh quality plays a role of enormous importance. It manifests itself as the principle that organizes the various parts of the form, as complex as it can be, and it organizes them into systems of larger forms, and then further into sets of systems, until an unspeakable culmination.

By its orderly power are born minimum and maximum hierarchies, and hierarchies of hierarchies, which only obey the single law of universal order, and in themselves reproduce it. Such an internal arrangement has repercussions on the outside, so that each spatial region is involved, without however harming the freedom of reaction of the individual or group.

The motion, it has been said, is inverted in Cancer, after the pulsation impressed by Gemini, and what first went up now descends, while from below it ascends back to the summit. The depths of the sea rise to the sky, whose altitudes become marine.

The seventh quality, in exaltation, guarantees that form and formula coincide and reveal each other. Therefore, Cancer transmits, with the third, also the seventh Ray.
