Ideal of Unity
“Absolute unity is the supreme ideal, that ultimate solves all problems, since it cancels the separations that cause them. It gathers individuals into families, and these into people, races, species, society, all the way up to general union. To express its unlimited power and all its virtues, it is indefinitely manifested and it is adored.
Adoration, in fact, befits Unity, which is the sacred Good, the safe haven. It is worshiped in different ways and with different cults, primitive or evolved, but adoration, as such, is a single act. The various religious rivers descend from the sacred summit of the One, irrigating consciousnesses.
The search for the ideal leads us to read the content of all forms, to penetrate their meaning; it is an ascent, it tends upwards and aims at Unity. The sixth virtue seeks and finds it in things and events.
Unity is everywhere, therefore it is general communion. History refers to many communities constituted in compliance with a Rule, but so far the various Rules have not been unified; impeded by their differences, they have not learned the sixth virtue, which unites those who are different. Each professes its own sacredness, although limited and proud, but Unity is established only when formal distinctions are renounced.
The sixth virtue acts powerfully on social history, and despite appearances to the contrary, it guides human society to recognise itself as unitary. It tramples borders, breaks down dams, fences, limits.
Men use it with violence and devastate what they would like to unify, but the Six, by its own nature, unites with kindness, it wins by smiling, without ever forcing. The kingdom of Heaven belongs to the meek.”

Harmony of Infinity
“… harmony in life refines human feelings. Indeed, harmony is the only thing necessary; with it all will be subtler and loftier. Harmony is a great concept! Yet people seek it in external conditions and overlook it in the essence of things. For example, a primitive man may live in natural beauty, yet be far from harmony. The city dweller may be oppressed by the bustle of his surroundings, and be unable to think about a harmonious life. Even a refined philosopher can be crushed by the cares of supporting himself. Thus the fundamental law of harmony is forgotten.
People do not understand that the way to harmony is in the art of thinking. Deep contemplation is needed for the realization of harmony. Truly, only the art of thinking can refine one’s feelings. But how does one acquire this art, which can sometimes be possessed by an illiterate person, yet elude the most learned? How can We teach man the art of thinking? Many will take this to be a clumsy aphorism. How can We explain to people that Our philosophy is based upon thinking about Infinity? With such ideals, earthly tribulations become bearable and manageable. Do not fear the lofty concept of harmony. It can be applied in all aspects of life, and every human being can develop a sense of it within himself. This state can be called by different names, yet it is the property of all. Everyone sooner or later will achieve harmony if the art of thinking is cultivated.”
