First Year of the Sixth Septennium

The fiery and decisive discontinuity of this December solstice (Dec 21st, 4pm UT) gives rise to a new annual and septenary breath of the Plan for Humanity which took shape in 1987 (Goal 1.1) and which supports the steps of those who have recognized it and continue to assert it in the name of  the One Humanity.

The Goal of this first year of the sixth septennium (6.1), which combines the values of the sixth Ray with those of the first of Will or Power, is: “Esotericism of the New World Religion” and confers initiatory value to the whole cycle of seven years.

All the will of the Workers of the Plan is now concentrated on this timeless moment, in which that spark of electric fire is released informing the new annual and septenary cycle of itself. Indeed, every beginning is always preceded by a powerful instant of causative, transcendent and initiatory silence, where the supernal, monadic Light intervenes to inject Life.

Sacredly accomplished this magical and ritual gesture, we realize that all the experience accumulated in the seven years just ended, illuminated by the light of the fifth Ray of concrete Mind and Knowledge, and from which we take leave with acknowledgement and gratitude, is imprinted in the “treasure” of common consciousness. Now, there is nothing more to add or to remove and this is the basis on which the new phase of the Work will lay.

Let us therefore turn our gaze together to the new septennium ahead, qualified by the underlying energy of the Sixth Ray of abstract Idealism and Devotion, which is embodied in the ideas of Communion, Community, Brotherhood…, values that also inform the incoming age of Aquarius, who pours out to the thirsty ones its water of Life, the fiery principle of the mind, psychic energy.

We consider, first of all, that the nucleus of thought around which this cycle takes place is fixed by the sixth Causative Goal of the Plan (6.6), which reads: “New World Religion” and which we could translate as the need to organize human spirituality, growing in spite of appearances. By now it no longer recognizes itself in the dogmatic and devotional forms of the great religions of the era of Pisces, each of which wanted to impose its own superiority over the others. Today Humanity begins to feel as One and needs to approach, through the inquiring and abstract mind, that central Truth that every Teaching has always guarded, veiled and revealed with different forms and modalities, suitable for their Cultures/Civilizations.

“Each era chooses its new, corresponding Teaching, when all previous Teachings have become distorted. People tend to cling to these twisted distortions of the faith of their forefathers, yet no new Teaching ever excludes preceding ones. Little attention is paid to this fact, for the followers of every Teaching like to build their success on denial of the previous Teachings. But it is easy to prove the continuity of what people call religion. In this continuity is sensed a single stream of one energy. Calling it psychic energy, we speak of the Sophia of the Hellenic world or Sarasvati of the Hindus. The Holy Ghost of the Christians manifests signs of psychic energy, just as do the creative Adonai of Israel, and Mithra of Persia, full of solar power. Certainly, no one doubts that the Fire of Zoroaster is the Fire of Space, which you now study.

Psychic energy is both Fire and Materia Matrix, and the Teaching of Agni Yoga is nothing other than an explanation of today’s application of energy, the stream of which is approaching with Satya Yuga. This is not a new awakening of heretofore dormant possibility, but an enlightenment spread over time. (…)” (Agni Yoga § 416, Agni Yoga Collection)

The new Religion is the Religion of Heaven, seat and model of Brotherhood. The new religious method is the understanding of its infinite Love and identification with its solemn Order.

In the text that first formulates the evolutionary Plan (The Distant Goals), esotericism is explained with the well-known phrase: “Many are called, few are chosen”, which has been little understood, as often happens to what is real.

6.1 – ESOTERICISM OF THE NEW WORLD RELIGION

“… Esotericism is a universal phenomenon, or law of nature, which concerns and governs the world of consciousness …

… The Voice calls and its appeal is directed to everybody, concerns everybody, with no exceptions. Yet only a minority listens to it, replies and is chosen. It is precisely at this point that esotericism is born. From then onward, “the goats are separated from the sheep”: between one and the other kind of consciousness a division is formed, a boundary is set up. This is temporary, fictitious and passable and is caused not by the will of the Voice, but by the different human reactions to its appeal …

[It has been even less understood that] the appeal is repeated because it pulsates like everything that lives. This is the same reactive phenomenon as described above, but this is the case both for the outer and the inner or “esoteric” circles. Partitions between consciences multiply. In the long run, spheres or concentric regions of states of consciousness are formed, which become progressively clearer, tenser, more limpid and orderly toward the center from which the Voice resounds.
Each of them is more “esoteric” or inner than the one that precedes it towards the periphery, while is “profane” to the more central ones…

The Voice continues to call until all the spheres progressively come to recognize the Center, where divisions are canceled and equality triumphs. Only in the continuation or becoming of that development a separation between “inside” and “outside” is inevitable. Hence the “esotericism” that is born to good ends still causes envy and suspicion.

The phenomenon thus illustrated is general, so it also acts in the individual human consciousness … This process is well-known and studied in the East, understood in a more gritty way in the West, and as a whole tells the long march towards reality and progressive liberation from the spell, that is, the way of the disciple. 􏰀

This simple concept of esotericism implies and explains the need for initiation, when one passes from one sphere to the other, where one is awaited and received. It is a question of a reaction to the Call and shows that the initiate is always in reality the initiator of himself. Consciousness, from stage to stage, climbs over the barriers which appear to separate the various esoteric halls, and discovers that those distinctions only exist in itself.

… On the basis of these assumptions, it can be understood that the future call sent out by the new world religion will also produce analogous effects: among those invited to the banquet provisional circles will be formed which will repeat the story narrated above, and it will be necessary to watch over this development.

Such is the task of the Vertex 6.1, who does not have the task of separating the esoteric from the profane – which happens spontaneously – but of watching over the process and disciplining the relationships between “inside” and “outside” …

… It must be said now that religious thought is not the only one to have such consequences. It is easy to recognize that something analogous happens also in the dominions of science and art. The Law is universal: the Sound, of whatever nature and sphere, chooses its hearers and these can then be called the chosen …”.

Seed 6.1

The first one exists, yet undefined.

The last one does not exist, yet is real.

I am the Light shining in the crowded desert.

I infuse the Truth around. Hierarchies of hierarchies,

open and communicating, grade the access to the central Fire.

This bright and powerful start of the cycle also reminds us that the central year of the seven-year period (6.4) coincides with the year 2025, when the centennial conclave of the Hierarchy will be held and on the occasion of which the date of the first stage of Its Externalization will probably be established.

It is truly a time of preparation for initiation and advent for the whole human family.

In this dramatic moment of the passing of Era, the child consciousness of mankind will have to radically and quickly rise to responsibly address the urgent need in order to find solutions to the problems it has triggered and which can jeopardize the very survival of part of humanity.

Today we still play around following old separative patterns of particular and national interests that continue to cause wars, migrations, famines, disasters due to climate change and the reckless use of resources.

Humanity, however, has so far shown that, just when it finds itself on the edge of the abyss, can find a way out. However, if we do not just want to patch up the most serious flaws, leaving posterity with a substantially unchanged situation, we need to choose the highest way: vision and courage are needed, new men and high consciences are needed. The Hierarchy will, as always, help us.

The disciples of the world are taking sides, each in their own place, to constitute a solid and orderly whole consistent with the hierarchical Work, without getting lost in false battles but trying to build, with the fire of the mind, the causes of future events.

The Voice calls and a growing number of women and men of good will, sensitive to the invocation of Humanity, are gathering to replenish the circle of those who aspire to a New World and are willing to commit themselves so that it can be accomplished, in due time.

An expansion of general human consciousness is already underway today; the times are ripe and “all the forces of Heaven are at our side”. We know that when the night is darker, dawn approaches. And therefore:

Where to build the new Temple? How to build it?

“We will do it here and everywhere.

We will do it like a crystal

We will do it like a flower

We will do it like a human

We will do this as a Sun.”
