2.1 MAGNET: The Magnet is the central power of Life

1.1 LIFE: Life IS

This square of Ideas from which the Generator Lambdoma stems (along with the seven Lambdomas that descend from it) puts a strain on the ability of human minds to explore the Unknown, as it demands of us to enter the world of primordial causes, for which none of the words of our ordinary language is adequate. In fact, it is a question of setting in formulas that about which nothing can be said, that absolute Reality that is independent of the manifest world in which we are immersed, son of Sound and Light, those living and creative Entities of which the Universe and all the lives that develop in it are made of, and which human thought has objective difficulties in detaching itself from.

However, the path of the Consciousness that from the many guides back to the One urges the mind, at a certain point, to enter that area where Darkness reigns, the Light without Light and in which all energies, not yet differentiated, are latent and most powerful, concentrated in a central magnetic Point, preceding (even if it is incommensurate to speak of a before and an after) to the emission of the Fiat which gave rise to the ‘eternity’ cycle of the Great Breath.

So let’s try to grasp its essence in thought, through the words of the Teachings.

“It is the ONE LIFE, eternal, invisible, yet Omnipresent, without beginning or end, yet periodical in its regular manifestations, between which periods reigns the dark mystery of non-Being; unconscious, yet absolute Consciousness; unrealisable, yet the one self-existing reality; truly, ‘a chaos to the sense, a Kosmos to the reason’. Its one absolute attribute, which is ITSELF, eternal, ceaseless Motion, is called in esoteric parlance the ‘Great Breath’, which is the perpetual motion of the universe, in the sense of limitless, ever-present SPACE”. (1)

“There is one Boundless Immutable Principle; one Absolute Reality which, antecedes all manifested conditioned Being. It is beyond the range and reach of any human thought or expression. The manifested Universe is contained within this Absolute Reality and is a conditioned symbol of it”. (2)

The Absolute is not and is: in such “one Be-ness… lies concealed its coeternal and coeval emanation or inherent radiation” (3), cause of its periodic manifestation.

At the human level, the manifestation of the Absolute can be understood through intuition as the order and genesis of Ideas. Thus we can conceive the Idea of ​​the Absolute, the Idea of ​​Life, of Infinity, of Love, of the Universe ….

The Absolute (0/0) that is, is Life (1/1). Its sacred veil is Infinity (1/2). Infinite Life coalesces into a centre, a Magnet (2/1) which focuses and centralises the power of the absolute Reality. The Infinity fecundated by the Magnet is Space (2/2), the divine container of Life and all its potential or Energy (2/3).”

Infinity is the sacred veil of absolute Life: it is its field and its inherent quality. It is comparable to the Point which has no dimensions and therefore is neither small nor large: it is simply unlimited.

There is only one Point, which holds all latent vital energies within itself.

“Realizing that the path into Infinity is that shoreline toward which the highest spatial energy is impelled for fusion with the essence of everything that exists, one may affirm that Cosmos creates the consciousness of Be-ness. […]”. (4)

“Is it worthwhile to speak of Infinity if it is unattainable? But it does exist; and everything great, even if invisible, compels us to think about the ways to it. Thus, even now let us ponder about the ways into Infinity; for it exists, and it is terrifying if it is not cognized. But even in the earthly life one can approach and can temper the spirit toward acceptance of the unfathomable.

A great deal remains unknown to us, yet we do overcome our ignorance. Thus, even if we do not understand the meaning of Infinity, we are able to realize it as something unavoidable and therefore meriting special attention. How else may we temper into commensurateness our thoughts and actions? Verily, by comparison with Infinity we realize the scope of our grievances and triumphs. (…)

Therefore, we shall offer the radiance of the rays of Infinity, into which there is carried not only the spirit but even stones, in a blending, as it were, of loftiest creation with grossest matter. But in the whirlwind of Eternity the stone and the spirit are imponderable, for they are drawn into the same magnet. (…)” (5)

If Infinity is the Field, the sacred veil of Life, which we have previously assimilated to the Point, the Magnet is that creative centre that governs it everywhere: it is the central power of Life.

“The subtle point has no dimensions, so it has no extension: it is neither small nor big. It has no creative function or power (they are up to the centre), so it is passive, feminine and receptive. It is the field. Since it is unlimited, it coincides with infinite Space: only one point exists, which receives and conveys all living qualities.

The subtle centre has no dimensions, yet is positive and radiant. It is the Father. It rules the field (that is, the subtle point) which does not subsist without a centre, just as it does not exist without a field. In other words, it is the centre of the point. The subtle centre is the life spark that animates Space and governs it. Since the subtle point is only one, there is also just one absolute centre: only one subtle point and one subtle centre exist.

Relationship between point and centre.

1 – Stating that point and centre are inseparable and interdependent means, from the point of view of living geometry, that they love each other. One cannot exist without the other. This is the genesis of spatial magnetism, that is, of love that holds the Universe together.

2 – The extremely powerful relationship between point and centre does not appear in the concrete mode, which has not yet manifested it. This is a thought that has not been much considered, due to the existing confusion between the concrete point and centre, the one being hard to distinguish from the other.

This is a problem of primary importance and has to be resolved. Many things will change, in life and art, when we will eventually be able to discern, in the concrete, between point and centre, and therefore able to understand their mutual attraction.

3 – Spatial love between point and centre, be they subtle or concrete, kindles the Light of the world, cyclical and living. The stars in the heavens, actual and bright objects, manifest it. Intelligence, human or of a different nature, and in short all the lights of our Cosmos, from atoms to galaxy clusters, and to the Light of mind, express it as well. There are shadows only in the concrete, limited and inconsistent, which give emphasis to the Light. Space, which looks dark at night, is the passive Light of the point, indispensable in order to grasp the positive radiance of the stars”. (Principles of Living Geometry, pp. 4-5)

A relationship similar to the one that unites Infinity and the Magnet recurs between Life and Space, the Infinity fecundated by Life: the vital central Magnet fecundates Space, which is the divine Container of infinite Life and all infinities. Space is therefore alive and is the infinite, eternal and undifferentiated Point. It is magnetic and receptive Love; it is the great Mother of the World.

“The cosmic Breath of the Mother of the World is all-pervading. Verily, all is imbued with it. From infinitesimal grains of dust to immeasurable magnitudes, life moves and breathes by this Breath. How then not to cognize the power which moves the Universe! How not to ponder upon the essence of Being! (…)” (6)

“(…)  Turn instead to the buried treasure of the invisible spheres, and direct yourselves toward a creation manifested beyond the limits of your comprehension. Vast is the field of labor! Therefore, perceive and enter into the rhythm of Infinity.

And where will be the night? Where you seem to perceive its hush the hymns to the Mother of the World begin. Neither day nor night—only Her Radiance!” (7)

In summary, these four most founding and causal ideas can be brought back to the dual Unity, to the primal and indissoluble relationship between the two Origins (Centre and Point), each of which assumes and includes the other. Light springs from this eternal and transcendent Reality, that Light which draws and colours the Universe.

“In tension, amidst humanity’s monstrous incomprehension of the principle of Be-ness, We give a new Covenant. We summon humanity to that Covenant. In that great Covenant lies the principle of Be-ness. We say to humanity, “Venerate the Origins; venerate the Mother of the World; venerate the awesome Covenant of the Cosmic Magnet!” Yes, yes, yes! Thus speaks Maitreya!” (8)

 

Life and Infinity, Magnet and Space are the unmoved Mover
cause of the great Breath, the incessant Motion of Eternity
