I and the Father are One

We celebrate today the Sun entering Gemini, the sign where we experience the pairs of opposites, the interaction between the two twins: soul and form, leading to the very fusion of all polarities; the intelligent process of unification and synthesis.

Let us therefore solemnly sound forth into the living Space, bearer of the Universal Consciousness, the Christic assertion associated with this Sign (see the introductory article):

I AND THE FATHER ARE ONE

The Master of Masters, through his works gave the necessary steps to know the Father, the mystical term for the Monad, “the origin and goal for the reincarnating Jiva or human being”. (Alice Bailey A Treatise on Cosmic Fire)

“If The New Testament is true in its presentation of the Christ, if it is true in its repetition of His words, that we can do “greater things” than He did, and if it is true in that He told us to “be perfect even as our Father in Heaven is perfect”, what is there wrong in our recognising the capacity of a human being to keep pace with the mind of Christ and to know what He intends us to know? Christ said that “if any man will do the will of God, he shall know”; that was how the Christ Himself learnt and that is the mode He assures us will be successful for each of us.” (Alice Bailey, The Reappearance of the Christ)

To Be we must Want, to understand we must Know.

“The word to ‘know’ (in relation to the initiate-consciousness of the Christ and of still lesser initiates) concerns the certainty of the knowledge the initiate has gained through experiment, experience and expression. The first faint tremor of reaction to monadic ‘destiny’ and to the widespread universal influence a Son of God can exert makes itself felt in the consciousness of the Christ—as it will in the consciousness of all those who obey His injunction and arrive at the perfection which He pointed out as possible. The highest divine quality or aspect now makes itself felt in the life of the progressing Son of God; He knows the meaning of intelligence; He realises the significance of love and its attractive quality. Now—because of these two recognitions—He becomes aware of the potency of will and of the reality of the divine intention which that will must (at any cost) implement. This was the major crisis of the Christ.” (Alice Bailey, The Reappearance of the Christ)

The path of growth and development of Consciousness leads to the transformation and refinement of the personality, destined to become the vehicle first of the Soul (the Solar Angel), then of the Monad.

“Eventually the Indweller of the form feels the urge, or attractive pull, of its Own Self. The reincarnating jiva, for instance, lost in the maze of illusion, begins in course of time to recognise (under the Law of Attraction) the vibration of its own Ego, which stands to it as the Logos of its own system, its deity in the three worlds of experience. Later, when the body egoic itself is seen as illusion, the vibration of the Monad is felt, and the jiva, working under the same law, works its way back through the matter of the two planes of superhuman evolution, till it is merged in its own essence.” (Alice Bailey A Treatise on Cosmic Fire)

The Christ is a cosmic Agent of Will, Love and Intelligence, he united Humanity with the Hierarchy through his experience and with the help of Master Jesus brought all this to the material plane.

He thus showed the meaning of being a Server, a Monad that “TRANSFORMS ALL THINGS”, giving us the possibility of knowing the way to the Father, to know him, imitate him and be one with him, in our daily lives. He is our TOUCHSTONE, or role Model.

“Call Hierarchy your touchstone, upon which you can test the efficiency of quality; for if you do not admit the existence of the best and the most luminous, then there is no need to safeguard and perfect your own Monad. The existence of Hierarchy is the foundation of the entire life. Remember that Hierarchy acts through the legion of Service. Do not delay in assembling these legions, for there is no task more successful than Service to Hierarchy.” (Agni Yoga, Hierarchy § 212)

Simplicity, Beauty, Truth are the foundations of the journey, of the pilgrimage to the Father’s home, in search of the distant worlds, of that memory within us, because in essence we ARE MONADS.

“Be not surprised that the simplest examples often prove to be the most expressive. Setting forth on a distant journey, people look forward to seeing something attractive; if this does not happen, the journey turns out to be very abhorrent to them. Likewise, we should grow to love the idea of the Subtle World and the far-off worlds. One can so frighten oneself regarding the far-off worlds that even a move toward them will appear to be inadmissible. People usually have such a gloomy frame of mind toward everything of another world that they may be likened to a rueful traveler who has lost all his baggage. Let people be concerned with suggesting to themselves the best possibilities for success on the distant path. They will thus enter into the region of thought. It will be impossible for one to suffer who thinks beautifully! He will enter the Father’s House, sensing in advance all the blessed treasures. Likewise must be comprehended the path to Brotherhood.” (Agni Yoga, Brotherhood § 160)

Gemini represents the fusion of opposites, to manifest unity.
