At the dawn of the New Age, it is necessary to update many concepts, or further clarify what we understand about them, hence, after a seven-year period dedicated to the New Culture (2015-2021), our reflection now (septennium 2022-2028) focuses on the idea of Religion and, especially in this year 6.2, on the Bases of the New World Religion.

One of these necessary updates involves the resetting of the planetary human rituality according to the unitary but polar Rhythm of Heaven:

“The forms assumed by the religious practices and rituals, though having unified roots, will be varied and freely used according to places and peoples. Yet the liturgy will be a single one, though lived in an opposite and symmetrical way in the two hemispheres (north and south), according to the alternate passage of the seasons.” (from The Distant Goals – Goal 6.2, fifth aspect)

It will then be necessary to learn to choose the symbols and to orchestrate the liturgies most consistent with the two terrestrial hemispheres, symmetrically with one another, when celebrating the same rhythmic Impulse or Date, for example a Solstice or Christmas, or any other celestial Direction established by the cyclic Rhythm and Breath of our Planet in motion within the solar System. The New world Religion will see humanity, in imitation of the Hierarchy and the new Group of world servers, follow and celebrate not so much the Dates and Festivals of its ordinary calendars, but rather those sanctioned by the heavenly Rhythms and Cycles in the Zodiac Wheel (alignments, conjunctions, annual cornerstones, full moons…), for we will have understood their evolutionary value in founding a new solar Culture on Earth.

In fact, according to the wisdom Tradition, we have learnt to recognise that all celestial causal Impulses are qualified by the 12 Principles of the Zodiac (the 12 Signs and their corresponding creative Hierarchies), those 12 Archetypes of the Evolution of Consciousness and Form which, as 12 Keys, help us understand the elusive Decrees of the Heavens. On these 12 ‘mysteries’ of Esoteric Astrology, the “Science of spatial Relations”, is based the conscious Evolution of Humanity and of the Planet towards a new world Culture and Religion. [1]

The Rhythm of the planetary Rituality will therefore be guided and ordered, ever more wisely, by this Field of evolutionary Qualities.

Well, in this regard, Esoteric Astrology teaches that each Sign of the zodiac of our celestial Horizon (Ecliptic) – recognised as a causative Principle – also holds within itself the Quality of the opposite Sign, in a Synthesis with an alternating pulse, established by the motion of the Sun-Earth Direction: each Sign therefore imbues one of the 12 astrological phases of the annual cycle but, seen as a zodiacal Axis or Polarity, it pulses twice a year, in a unitary but polar way. Moreover, this unitary but polar pulsation colours the manifestation in the two earthly Hemispheres still in a dual manner, i.e., with reversed seasons (see the following video “The journey of the Sun in the two terrestrial Hemispheres” with the position of the apparent Sun at the 4 cornerstones of the annual cycle, and in the two Hemispheres – in Italian with English subtitles).

In order to clarify and formulate the foundations of a planetary rhythmic Rituality, the first step that seemed necessary to us was therefore to establish the 6 Pairs of Principles/Ideas that imbue the 6 zodiacal Axes identified by the Sun-Earth Axis (symbol of the Soul-Personality Relationship), that 6-pointed and 7-centres Star of Life that causes and leads the expansion of the solar or Christ Consciousness (the Soul or Group Consciousness: the subject at the Centre) for both Hemispheres, and thus, with regard to this investigation, also their solar rituals.

In the motion of the Wheel of the so-called minor Zodiac (the annual cycle), we can then think that at each transition into a Sign, its causal Principle, as a polar current of energy (including, as mentioned, the opposite Sign), urges the two terrestrial Hemispheres to express that inherent polarity/duality in the Becoming, of which the seasonal symmetry of Nature is precisely a primary expression.

And yet, on closer inspection, this flow of causal energy, while manifesting itself in a dual manner in the two Hemispheres, just as they jointly and symmetrically celebrate their natural liturgy recomposes dualism at the Centre, making its essential Polarity or harmonic Interval resonate. It is only the human vision that has yet to become aware of this polar stream of causes, and to learn to go along with it with consonant, planetary thought-forms, not diverted by unbalanced (north-centric) habits.

Therefore when we enter, for example, into the Sign of Aries (napparent Sun in Aries – Earth in Libra), it is the Principle of Aries – fused with its polar opposite Libra – that ignites for both hemispheres, albeit ‘duplicating’ itself in the field of consciousness and terrestrial forms according to two specular modes, which will then find their natural fulfilment six months later in the opposite scenario Libra–Aries (apparent Sun in Libra, Earth in Aries), also branching out in two modes in the two hemispheres; in other words, the two Signs of each Axis operate together in the two symmetrical halves of the Earth’s Sphere and alternately in the annual cycle: the Symmetry between their dualisms ‘does its work’ and reveals the central One, the synthetic Principle. [2]

The difficulty, as mentioned, lies in being able to disengage ourselves from the seasonal attribution that has been given to a Sign of the zodiac for centuries (by a north-centric astrology), with the related qualities connected to the appearance of nature and to the psyche that is consequently influenced by it.

Our endeavour will therefore be to succeed in eliminating the strange feeling we get when we think, for example, that Christmas in Capricorn, ‘wintry’ for the northern hemisphere, initiates summer instead in the southern hemisphere (Santa Claus with the reindeer is therefore not a planetary Symbol, but only a boreal one!), or that the centre of spring, which for the northern hemisphere coincides with the Sun at the luminous centre of the Sign of Taurus (beginning of May), occurs instead in the austral hemisphere at the beginning of November with the Sun at the centre of a luminous Sign of Scorpio!

The “mystery of Polarity” is the second Mystery of the present Second Solar System, hence its ruling Principle, cause of the Evolution of the Second Aspect of Consciousness.

As stated, attention must therefore be focused on understanding the polar energetic unity expressed by the zodiacal Axis according to the two seasonal modes of Nature and on the fact that the two hemispheres ‘work’ together to express the Synthesis of the World of Ideas or Being. Perhaps if the Signs in the Axis were called by their Numbers (e.g.: Aries-Libra = 1^st and 7^th Sign) we would have less difficulty in grasping the essential unitary identity of their polar Relationship.

Moreover, fixing these 6 Pairs of Principles/Ideas that inform the 6 zodiacal Axes can only favour disidentification from the Sign of the apparent Sun (symbol of Personality) and facilitate identification with the 6 primary Functions of the Star of Life for the evolution of Christ Consciousness (Soul).

Here then is the fruit of group reflection, in this largely unexplored field, in search of the unitary and polar Principles of the 6 zodiacal Axes, in search of the Star of Life of the Christic Evolution of the Planet and Man, in search of the Rhythm of the planetary Heart:

Zodiacal Rituality in the two terrestrial Hemispheres

In our search for the unitary root and rhythm of future human rituals, the 12 beats or basic Ideas of the annual Cycle that qualify the planetary Breath and Thought have been established; the inner harmonic structure with 6 polarities of the Sun-Earth Axis (Soul-Personality) has been identified and its symmetrical and alternate pulsation in the interplay of the 4seasons in the 2 hemispheres has been compared.

We are only at the dawn of the real understanding of the unitary but polar Rhythm of the planetary Logos, for which an initiatory level of consciousness is required; and yet, to have fixed in our minds its ‘firm composition of elements’ or systemic basis is a good starting point that teaches us to observe and experience each yearly Breath and each Sign of the zodiac with a new – planetary – vision and breadth, and to derive from it, when human thought will be sufficiently responsive or mature, a worldwide spiritual Rituality, differentiated according to peoples and to the alternating flow of the seasons in the two hemispheres, but at the unitary and coordinated service of the evolutionary Plan.

Then “the ceremonial ritual of the daily life of Sanat Kumara, implemented by music and sound and carried on the waves of colour which break upon the shores of the three worlds of human evolution”[3] will be our united breath and unified rhythm.

[2] The Signs, for Esoteric Astrology, also have a dual Keynote, for ordinary men and for disciples, expressing the polar motion of energy that either propels towards the construction of Form and personality, or helps to reveal the Essence or soul aspect.
