In today’s Heavens, from the heliocentric perspective, Mercury, the Solar Musician, Lord of Harmony, vehicle in our System of that Ray, whose main function is to create Beauty (as an expression of truth), through the free relationship between life and form, in accordance with the initial score (as it is in the mind of the Solar Logos) meets on the initiatory summit of Capricorn Erato, She who awakens the beauty and strength of feelings, Muse of love poetry, choral singing and geometry, and Euterpe, She who brightens up and expresses Musicality in all its forms, beginning with poetry and music, which harmonising and sublimating bring order and balance. The note of Initiatic Love resounds mightily in this celestial combination, in the Music of these Spheres, and truly makes Heaven ecstatic with Harmony!

Initiation has to do with the conscious development of the self, and concerns the wisdom aspect of the One Self. It presupposes the development of the intelligence principle, and involves the apprehension by the human unit of purpose and of will, and his intelligent participation therein through love and service. When love for all beings, irrespective of who they may be, is beginning to be a realised fact in the heart of a disciple, and yet nevertheless love for himself exists not, then comes the indication that he is nearing the Portal of Initiation, and may make the necessary preliminary pledges… If he cares not for the suffering and pain of the lower self, if it is immaterial to him whether happiness comes his way or not, if the sole purpose of his life is to serve and save the world, and if his brother’s need is for him of greater moment than his own, then is the fire of love irradiating his being, and the world can warm itself at his feet.
