4. Model
- What is a model?
- How can one draw on the founding Models of evolution?
- How can man appraise the universe? By which canons?
From Middle French modelle (16c., Modern Fr. modèle), from Italian modello “a model, mold,” from Vulgar Latin *modellus, from Latin modulus, modus measure (source: www.etymonline.com).
Indo-European root *MA- (variants *ME-/* MAN-/*MEDH-) which expresses the idea of measurement, relationship. It is a very important root that can be found eg. in “mother”, Sanskrit matṛ: “the one that relates through measure,” the ordering one.
Etymosophy result: measure, relationship.
