3.3 LIGHT: Light is the rhythmic motion of Fire

The purpose of this reflection is to “square the circle” of Ideas related to the vertices 2.2, 2.3, 3.2 and 3.3. Through this inner reflection and exercise we seek to synthesize higher Ideas and the related Formulas behind each of these prototypes with their possible evolutionary application as thought-forms and actions in our everyday life of group service. And thus we assume our responsibility to modify, qualify and adapt the Divine Plan [1], bringing the Circle of great ideas into the square of service [2]. 

As we, as part of the Group of World Servers, assert wider esoteric knowledge, we should remember that “with increased esoteric teaching comes increased exoteric responsibility” (AAB, Treatise on White Magic, p. 3).

In the current cycle, humanity undergoes rapid transformation through mental polarization and expansion of consciousness, opening to the reality of Soul and Spirit. Through this process, our collective horizon of understanding of the universe and our place in it expands as well. The same as the Middle Ages were challenged to move from the Geocentric perception of the Universe to the Heliocentric one, it is time now for humanity to recognize our position within the vastness of the Universe. As the orbital telescopes pierce the physical dimension of the collective horizon, the World Servers Group – which is indicated as the Planetary Ajna – is reaching the capacity to be able to penetrate and comprehend the next layers of the Universal Reality: the Living Space manifested through Light and our human place and role within It. The ripple effect of such group cognition will reverberate through centuries of transformation as the New Aquarian Civilization is progressively revealing in space and time.

2.2 SPACE: Space is infinity fecundated by Life

“The Ancient Wisdom teaches that “space is an entity.” It is with the life of this entity and with the forces and energies, the impulses and the rhythms, the cycles and the times and seasons that esoteric astrology deals.” (AAB, Esoteric Astrology, p. 7)

“Space is divine. It is the final Substance, of which everything is made. It is the Vase which contains Life, or Fire… It is called the Infinite, great Mother, universal magnetic field, cosmic Love, absolute Octave. It is the home of the seven divine qualities, the Seven Rays, and takes on their qualities and energies.” (Enzio Savoini, The Distant Goals, Summit 2.1)

Space is the field of potentiality. It is the Entity that offers Itself for the infinite expression of Life. We come to an empty lot of land and see its ‘emptiness’ as a space to create a new garden. We imagine this garden to be filled with love and joy and peace that nurtures our body and soul. As we start cultivating this new garden we discover that the land is already filled with life and it offers us its potency for co-creation. Gradually we learn to recognize and appreciate the silent voice of Space. Together we bring into manifestation the new space of love that can generate even more life and light.

We can learn the quality of potentiality from Space. We, as a group, have to learn how to open our ‘group antenna’ and become Silent listening to the Heavens. Then we become receptive allowing Life to fecundate our Group Heart with a Vision. All esoteric groups are called to do it. The time is NOW.

3.2 HEAVEN: Heaven is the radiant Garment of Space 

“Space is an entity and the entire “vault of heaven” (as it has been poetically called) is the phenomenal appearance of that entity. (…) the solar system. This entity is itself an integral part of a still greater life which is expressing Itself through seven solar systems, of which ours is one. If you can grasp this idea, a vague picture of a great underlying esoteric truth will emerge into your consciousness. It is the life and the influence, the radiations and emanations of this entity, and their united effect on our planetary life, the kingdoms in nature and the unfolding human civilizations (…)” (AAB, Esoteric Astrology, pp. 7-8)

The manifested potentiality of Space appears to us as the magnificent radiance of the Heavens. Let us try to stretch our group mind to comprehend the vastness of the Heavens immersing ourselves into the following quotes:

“The confines of the Heavens Themselves are illimitable and utterly unknown. Naught but the wildest speculation is possible to the tiny finite minds of men and it profits us not to consider the question. Go out on some clear starlit night and seek to realize that in the many thousands of suns and constellations visible to the unaided eye of man, and in the tens of millions which the modern telescope reveals there is seen the physical manifestation of as many millions of intelligent existences; this infers that what is visible is simply those existences who are in incarnation. But only one-seventh of the possible appearances are incarnating.  Six-sevenths are out of incarnation, waiting their turn to manifest, and holding back from incarnation until, in the turning of the great wheel, suitable and better conditions may eventuate.

Realize further that the bodies of all these sentient intelligent cosmic, solar and planetary Logoi are constituted of living sentient beings, and the brain reels, and the mind draws back in dismay before such a staggering concept. Yet so it is, and so all moves forward to some unfathomable and magnificent consummation which will only in part begin to be visioned by us when our consciousness has expanded beyond the cosmic physical plane, and beyond the cosmic astral until it can “conceive and think” upon the cosmic mental plane. That supposes a realization beyond that of the Buddhas who have the consciousness of the cosmic physical plane, and beyond that of the planetary Logoi. It is the consciousness and knowledge of a solar Logos. To the occult student, who has developed the power of the inner vision, the vault of Heaven can therefore be seen as a blazing fire of light, and the stars as focal points of flame from which radiate streams of dynamic energy. Darkness is light to the illumined Seer, and the secret of the Heavens can be read and expressed in terms of force currents, energy centres, and dynamic fiery systemic peripheries.” (AAB, Treatise on the Cosmic Fire,  pp. 1059-1060)

It is indicated that as humanity becomes sensitized to more refined vibrations, the collective mind becomes capable of discovering sources and nature of those vibrations via scientific observation. That was the case with the discovery of Uranus, Neptune and Pluto in the last centuries. Let us reflect on the significance of all observations and discoveries of astronomers in the recent decades. What does it mean in terms of our collective capacity to perceive?

“The one Universal Light, which to Man is Darkness, is ever existent,” says the Chaldean “Book of Numbers.” From it proceeds periodically the ENERGY, which is reflected in the “Deep” or Chaos, the store-house of future worlds, and, once awakened, stirs up and fructifies the latent Forces, which are the ever present eternal potentialities in it. Then awake anew the Brahmas and Buddhas — the co-eternal Forces — and a new Universe springs into being…”. (Helena P. Blavatsky, The Secret Doctrine. Cosmogenesis, Vol 1, bk 2, ch 3)

For decades astronomers have been studying light emanated from all sides of the Universe observing it on the full spectrum that is currently available to scientific perception: from radio to gamma rays. And let us keep our breath as we expect new scientific revelations that will come with future observations of the new orbital telescope James Webb.   

“A cosmic wheel, or a group of seven constellations.  These are grouped according to:

a. Their magnitude,
b. Their vibration,
c. Their colour,
d. Their influence upon each other.

These cosmic wheels, according to the esoteric books, are divided into forty-nine groups, each comprising millions of septenary constellations. For purposes of study by the Adepts, they are each known by a symbol, and these forty-nine symbols embody all that can be apprehended anent the size, magnitude, quality, vibratory activity, and objective of those great forms through which an Existence is experiencing. The Chohans of high degree know the forty-nine sounds which give the quality of the consciousness aspect of these great Beings Who are as far removed from the consciousness of our solar Logos as the consciousness of man is removed from that of a crystal. “ (AAB, Treatise on the Cosmic Fire  pp. 1085-1086)

And yet…

“The readers of this treatise who really want to profit by this teaching must train themselves ever to think in terms of the whole. The arbitrary tabulations, the divisions into triplicities and septenates, and the diversified enumeration of forces which are seen as emanating from the seven constellations, the ten planets, and the twelve mansions of the zodiac, are but intended to give the student an idea of a world of energies in which he has to play his part.” (AAB, Esoteric Psychology, v I, pp. 159-160)

As we admire and learn to comprehend the closest peripheries of the Heavens, it is our task to recognize the place of our planet, of the World Servers Group, of our smaller groups and of ourselves in this vastness. This is our way to come into co-resonance with the Laws and Harmonies of the Universe. This is our collective Path to Harmony.

“This “control of form through a septenate of energies” (as it is defined in the Old Commentary) is an unalterable rule in the inner government of our universe and of our particular solar system, as well as in the case of individual man. There are, for instance, in our solar system, seven sacred planets which correspond to the seven individual force centres in man, the seven solar systems, of which our solar system is one, and in their turn the seven energy centres of the One to Whom I have referred in my other books as the One About Whom Naught Can Be Said.” (AAB, Esoteric Astrology, pp. 11-12)

Esoteric truism ‘As Above so is Below’ provides a key to many mysteries of the Universe. Through the Law of Analogy we are able to extend our minds to grasp unseen and unrecognized realms of the Heavens and of a human being, and of anything in between. 

Persistent experiment and observation will allow an occult group to discover the presence of “an unalterable rule” of a septenate of energies within the sphere of its group Being. A careful and gradual practice, incorporating work with seven energy centers within the group field, will reveal a vast field of enhanced possibilities for meditative group service.

3.3 LIGHT: Light is the rhythmic motion of Fire

“It must ever be borne in mind that the great theme of LIGHT underlies our entire planetary purpose. The full expression of perfect LIGHT, occultly understood, is the engrossing life-purpose of our planetary Logos. (…) 

It will also be shown that the soul itself is light, and that the entire Hierarchy is a great centre of light, causing the symbology of light to govern our thinking, our approach to God, and enabling us to understand somewhat the meaning of the words of Christ “I am the Light of the world. These words carry meaning to all true disciples and present them with an analogous goal which they define to themselves as that of finding the light, appropriating the light, and themselves becoming light-bearers. The theme of light runs through all the world Scriptures; the idea of enlightenment conditions all the training given to the youth of the world (limited though the application of this idea may be), and the thought of more light governs all the inchoate yearnings of the human spirit. (…) Light can be regarded as a symptom, a reaction to the meeting and consequent fusion of spirit and matter.” (AAB, The Rays and the Initiations, p. 142-143.)

“Light is movement. It is, in fact, the maximum dynamism […] Light blends continuous and discontinuous, thus cycles are born, which are ‘continuously discontinuous’. For these reasons it is argued that Light is the cause of all movements. The Will fixes the purpose; the Space welcomes it and lends it the necessary substances; the Light reaches it [the purpose]. That is Motion. Light realizes evolution […] Light is the energy that moves things and consciousnesses; it leads to the goal, and there is no other reason for motion.” (Enzio Savoini, Lecture notes of the 3^rd Septennium. Light is a characteristic of an awakened/activated substance/matter. The Light of the Soul starts shining through human eyes when the vibration of the personality starts matching that of one’s soul. We can recognize this through the Law of Analogy as we reflect on Einstein’s E=MC2: accelerated matter becomes energy. Similarly, we can recognise when the Light of understanding illuminates our faces as the matter of our mind gets accelerated thus igniting the fire of understanding. 

As we serve humanity in the process of soul awakening we must remember that evolution is a process spread in time and space. We do not try to accelerate the growth of a carrot in our garden by pulling it by its leaves – we know the harvest time will come. Same we should honor needed time for matter to be gradually accelerated before it is ready to receive the light of the soul. 

“A key to the correct interpretation of a hint lies in its association with the idea of direction in time and space. (…) The word “direction” is the key to the evolutionary process, to the concept of light, to the secret of Masonry, and to the motivating power behind manifestation.” (AAB, Discipleship in the New Age v.2, p. 303)

Rhythm is one of the secrets of persistent group radiation. “A dynamic adherence to the chosen path and a steady perseverance” are suggested to be of the most important qualities for a white magician (AAB, Treatise on White Magic, p. 3). The same quality of persistent rhythm is crucial in igniting and supporting the radiance of Fire of a group Heart. This transforms a group into a stable station of Light within the planetary network of Light, making it a Group White Magician.

2.3 ENERGY: Energy is the infinite spatial potentiality

“Energy is all there is, O Chela in the Light, but is not known.  It is the cause of knowledge and its application and its comprehension lead to expanded understanding.
Through energy the worlds were made and through that energy they make progression; through energy the forms unfold and die; through energy the kingdoms manifest and disappear below the threshold of the world which ever is and which will be forever. Through energy the Cross is mounted and from the vortex of the four uniting forces, the initiate passes through the door and is propelled into the Light—a light which grows from cycle unto cycle and is known as supernal Energy Itself.” (AAB, The Rays and the Initiations, p. 556)

In fact, the entire training in occult meditation is related to conscious work with energies and forces. That is a fundamental distinction between mystical and occult pupils. One of the first principles we learn is that Energy follows Thought. But even before that, the Command ‘Do No Harm’ is deeply engraved into our being. This must be done before persistent training and practice can reveal a true power.

“To draw on the heavenly power, following the Master’s Teaching, we must join the centre with the circumference, namely the heart with Heaven passing through the horizon. It is a simple and secret rite, for which words are not needed, and it causes the controlled explosion, that is the light that breaks through.” (Enzio Savoini, Communion, 2001)

As we progress in our understanding of the principles and mechanisms, working with energies and forces, we start recognizing the First Point of Revelation indicating that “Energy follows thought and the eye directs the energy”. [3]

Though a true power is hidden and guarded — the law of resonance keeps the gate locked for the unprepared. “People do not yet realise the potency of meditation and especially of group meditation.” (AAB, Treatise on the Cosmic Fire, pp. 1249-1250)

“When the Biblical words are used: “In Him we live and move and have our being,” we have the statement of a fundamental law in nature and the enunciated basis of the fact which we cover by the rather meaningless word: Omnipresence. Omnipresence has its basis in the substance of the universe, and in what the scientists call the ether; this word “ether” is a generic term covering the ocean of energies which are all inter-related and which constitute that one synthetic energy body of our planet.
In approaching, therefore, the subject of telepathy, it must be carefully borne in mind that the etheric body of every form in nature is an integral part of the substantial form of God Himself—not the dense physical form, but what the esotericists regard as the form-making substance. We use the word God to signify the expression of the One Life which animates every form on the outer objective plane. The etheric or energy body, therefore, of every human being is an integral part of the etheric body of the planet itself and consequently of the solar system. Through this medium, every human being is basically related to every other expression of the Divine Life, minute or great. The function of the etheric body is to receive energy impulses and to be swept into activity by these impulses, or streams of force, emanating from some originating source or other. The etheric body is in reality naught but energy. It is composed of myriads of threads of force or tiny streams of energy, held in relation to the emotional and mental bodies and to the soul by their coordinating effect. These streams of energy, in their turn, have an effect on the physical body and swing it into activity of some kind or another, according to the nature and power of whatever type of energy may be dominating the etheric body at any particular time.” (AAB, Telepathy and the Etheric Vehicle, p. 2)

Acceptance of the reality of the etheric body will become an important milestone for the advancement of the new civilization. The widely acknowledged recognition of the interdependence of all systems on our planet is an important indication of our collective progress in this direction. Scientific discoveries based on the reality of the etheric field will revolutionize modern science and ignite the new technological revolution. Yet, what is even more important is that this will trigger rapid cognitive evolution in humanity.  

The latest technological revolution in information communication technologies allowed us to experience a new level of connectivity. This has already transformed our personal, professional and social lives. This pushed humanity to the verge of recognition of the reality of telepathic communication. Though the term ‘telepathy’ is quite limited to express the much wider reality of connectivity and interconnectivity that we begin to experience and recognize.

Humanity is in high need of modification, qualification and adaptation of the given teachings on practical work with Etheric energies. Esoteric groups are responsible for bringing this ancient knowledge into practice. 

The Science of Impression is another (subjective) name for telepathy. It is indicated that the Hierarchy itself is in the process of learning this science. (AAB, Telepathy and the Etheric Vehicle, pp. 41-42)

“The Science of Impression—if studied by the disciples in the world and by the New Group of World Servers—will greatly facilitate the presentation of those ideals which must and will condition the thinking of the New Age and will eventually produce the new culture and the new civilised expression which lies ahead of humanity, superseding the present civilisation and providing the next field of expression for mankind.” (AAB, Telepathy and the Etheric Vehicle, p. 48)

“(…) Astrology is essentially the purest presentation of occult truth in the world at this time, because it is the science which deals with those conditioning and governing energies and forces which play through and upon the whole field of space and all that is found within that field. When this fact is grasped and the sources of those energies are better comprehended and the nature of the field of space is correctly understood, we shall then see a far wider and at the same time a more closely related horizon; the relationships between individual, planetary, systemic and cosmic entities will be grasped, and we shall then begin to live scientifically. It is this scientific living which it is the immediate purpose of astrology to bring about.” (AAB, Esoteric Astrology, p. 5)

It has been indicated that when the new dispensation of the Ageless Wisdom Teachings will be given sometime at the beginning of this century, the new teaching on Esoteric Astrology will be one of its key segments. It is also suggested that there is an Astrological key to the Secret Doctrine which will “reveal the fourth great fundamental of the Ageless Wisdom of which three are already given on the proem of The Secret Doctrine” (AAB, Esoteric Astrology, p. 8). This key can be discovered or made available to a trained group/s of esoteric students who can build the group Antahkarana [light bridge between personality, soul and monad] to the learning halls of the Astrological Ashrams. As “all Ashrams are found upon the Antahkarana.” (AAB, Discipleship in the New Age v.2, p. 417)

As we approach the centennial milestone of the year 2025, let us remember the Hint shared by the Tibetan Master DK:

“The changes brought about in the Hierarchy have been the result of the work of the disciples of the world (…) Regard and recognise the changes in the hearts of men, and change the rules as men in time and cyclic change approach the Ashram. The Ashram stands not still. New life pours in from either side.” (AAB, Discipleship in the New Age v.2, p. 356)

The New Group of World Servers made a huge leap since its inception in 1925. The last 2019 Festival Week of World Servers in a way marked a new cycle in the unfoldment of the World Group. The Group rapidly comes into self realization through inner recognition of the One Purpose that unites all World Servers everywhere. 

The esoteric segment of the World Group stands in its Heart Center. All esoteric groups around the world are tasked to become functional units of Light capable of working with energies and forces. Besides other things, we are tasked to translate our knowledge into practice to be shared with all World Servers, thus assisting the World Group becoming what is destined to be.

As the Hierarchy will meditate at Its centennial Conclave in 2025, taking new Decisions about how to precipitate the Plan and laying out the plans for humanity for the next hundred years, They will evaluate the dynamic of humanity’s development. We can expect that the work of the disciples of the world will inform Their Decisions.
