This year we will celebrate the 12 entries in the zodiacal Signs (the 12 Directions identified by the Sun-Earth axis – analogically, the ruling Head-Base solar centers 1-7)* presenting each 12th ‘partition’ of the solar Space and Consciousness in its 7 aspects or qualities, according to the Seven Rays Teaching:**
“The preconceived idea, not always evident but present, that the Zodiac is a sort of belt, a wall of stars, which close off a portion of Space, excluding it from universal communion, has to be expelled from the mind. In order to be free of this concept, it would be well to speak of directions or Space sectors rather than “zodiacal belt”: such terms express better the concept of central distribution without peripheral boundaries, however remote.

The twelve Signs are in opposition two by two with respect to the Center, which makes them a whole of six axes. From this emerges the structure of a six-pointed star: the great symbol of Life and of the seven divine emanations (the center of the star is a seventh element). In the pages that follow … there is an attempt to describe, with brief notes, the seven qualities of each of the twelve Signs. It is a still modest, yet reasonable attempt to list 84 spatial sectors (12 x 7 = 84) with the aim of allowing, if desired, a more refined examination of the energetic and rhythmic situation of the System.

ONE
Capricorn marks the inversion of the movement of vital energy. This is a double inversion: as far as the formal construction is concerned, the ascent towards consciousness begins; as far as consciousness is concerned, the descent into form begins. Throughout the Solar Space, from the first moment of this sign, the pulsating energy is renewed, rising and falling.
The main eternal motion of Life goes from top to bottom, and vice versa, at the same time. Such a double discharge of energy is the Mystery, and is the origin of any movement of any level in all the worlds; simultaneously it leads to the luminous liberation on the summit and pushes into the dark valley to serve.
In the solar interpretation, the motion of Life reaches the maximum dynamism in Aries, when it becomes manifest, and the maximum negative in Libra, when it begins to withdraw into the transcendent. In Capricorn and in Cancer it stops and is reversed: from the former the Will-of-being irradiates, from the latter the Will-of-becoming.

As it has been said, the first Ray is active and quite powerful in this sign, which diffuses it in the solar system.
TWO
The climbing widens, expands; the coming down compresses, contracts. One frees, the other chains. In Space the alternating motion is sovereign, as it shines from the Highest to the Abyssal, eternally uniting them. Creatures and consciences are dragged along, and, by reacting, they breathe. This motion is the cause of the breath, which supports everything that lives.
THREE
The motion of divine energy has a purpose (otherwise, why move?) and pursues it from beginning to end. In order to inevitably connect the principle to the end, the magic of rhythm works as a great universal agent that links, assembles and communicates.
Rhythm builds and is the backbone of any development of Life and defines its stable and predicted form. It accompanies Life until the fulfillment of its will, when the end and purpose are both reached. Its numerical aspects are infinitely variable and freely choosen, since one arrives at the goal through innumerable ways, but the consequences remain fixed.
In this are the essence and the value of the Project, which launches and guides the energy towards the goal and variably ensures the success of the initial impulse.

The third Ray, the Innovator, is also dominant in this sign: the project always arises at the beginning of any enterprise. The entire process of growth of the Earth’s solar year is planned, arranged and predicted in Capricorn, both for things that rise and those that fall according to the wave of Life.
FOUR
There exists a Center of symmetry and resonance for all developments. In this, growth is mirrored, and what has yet to be done is confirmed and predicted as it has already been accomplished. Because of its unavoidable but secret presence, the freedoms of action and of correspondence are balanced, both in a horizontal and vertical direction.
Because of the Center, any element is mirrored and reproduced elsewhere, without limits. The function of the Center is therefore not only passive, since it is the true pivot-support for the building of all constructions.
In turn, the Center refers to another Center, upon which it too depends and is supported. In this way the processes are linked to each other at each level and each of them is indispensable to the total whole.
FIVE
Regarding the third quality of Capricorn it has been affirmed that the rhythm of the builder is free to be expressed in various and innumerable ways. The fifth quality testifies and executes it. There is no limit to variation, or to the creative and planning power which it obeys.
In Capricorn the solar cycle, at the beginning of its renewal, is still far from the actual production phase, but everything is already present in potential. Here are the seeds of what will be: whether they are buried in the ground or in the heart, they are pregnant with life, forms and appearance, still latent and unexpressed, but existing and ready to follow the Command.
SIX
What irresistibly evokes the end is the beginning. For example, the writing of these pages runs towards its conclusion, passing from one phase to another only because it obeys the law of its initial impulse. It can find obstacles, but the end awaits it. In short, there is a great communion between everything that starts, arrives and passes through an intermediate phase. Principle and end seek each other and merge in one reality, which prevents the becoming from emerging as a truth, and limits it to the function of a temporary signal, an indication of an ephemeral passage.
Such a law affirms that everything is One, and that nothing remains but the Mystery. All that exists or will exist communicates with all other things, internal and external, dense or subtle; the mutual relationship between all the Entities is the universal Sacred Precept.
SEVEN
In the primordial purity of Capricorn, when the annual future is about to unveil itself but is still uncontaminated, nothing can separate the essence from the appearance. Then there will be the manifest developments, which will certainly be conditioned by the residuals and incompleteness of the previous solar cycle, but in the solstice suspension that impresses its seal on this sign, everything is still intact and new.
The boundaries that will soon appear between before and after, right and left, forward and backward, that is, the separations of a horizontal nature, are still unmanifest. The hierarchies between the levels of the vital Fire remain clear, unveiled. Hence the universal structure is brimming with evidence in Capricorn as to the true and only Law of Space. The silence of the horizontal divisions allows the vision of the vertical scale of beings, who descend or ascend it.
The seventh quality of this sign is dominant, and presents the undisputed reality of the Hierarchy of values, before the formal appearances obscure it and then hide it.”
