On 2 November, the radiant beauty of Mercury (R4, Harmony through Conflict) has invited us to contemplate and reflect upon the divine Fire of Taurus (heliocentric entry into Taurus), which illuminates thought and magnifies every form.
Today, 4 November, Mercury (R4) and the Earth (R3) — in a unity of heart between Beauty and Realisation — invite us to welcome and radiate the Infinite through the spatial Light of Taurus (R4).

What is this Model?
As we delve into the very depths of the heart, we discover the beauty of the Infinite: Heaven within the human heart, Heaven within the solar heart, Heaven within the cosmic heart… Turning towards the Great Unknown (the Infinite and Its Great Celestial Beings), as the central Human Presence*, we allow ourselves to be permeated by Its love and Its thought.

What does ‘seeing with the eyes of the heart’ mean?
| “The heart centre is sensitive to consciousness – that is, to Space, to the Infinite, to intervals. Every sensory stimulus is received by both the brain and the heart. The brain receives signals relating to the external aspects of the object, whilst the heart receives those emitted by its consciousness.” (Enzio Savoini – Commentary on Infinity I § 76 |
The mightiest lever of Cosmos, and the most sacred, is the heart. Its consciousness fills Space; its light illumines Cosmos. [Infinity I § 79]. Man is summoned to reflect the Universe. [Infinity I § 84]:
| “This is his dignity and his calling. It is therefore fair to say that, in order to know the Infinite, he must look within himself. And as a creature, to create is his destiny.” (E. S. — Commentary on Infinity I § 84) |
And so, he expresses the sublime Beauty of the Infinite that overwhelms the heart:
| “… a wondrous truth is in beauty. Cosmos affirms evolution by this formula. Cosmos directs the world to the mastery of beauty. Yes, verily, the Mother of the World possesses the Magnet of Beauty.” (Infinity I § 178) |
Let us now listen, like a sacred breath, to Barber’s Agnus Dei:
Sacred music, like the Agnus Dei that accompanies this reading, becomes the vibrating bridge across which human language fades away to make way for the great Silence of the Infinite.
Beauty: what is it? How do we recognise it? How can we express it?
The heart knows what beauty is and recognises it with certainty, whilst the intellect’s signals are uncertain. This is a fundamental lesson: beauty is an energy that acts upon the heart and dwells within it. This is of the utmost importance, for all creatures must learn beauty: the Universe, says the Master, is a school that teaches beauty.
Beauty manifests itself both in the infinitely great and in the infinitely small; it is the work of something that acts from within. What is beautiful is not beauty itself, but its appearance. All beautiful things share an infinite nature. Beauty, if it is authentic, has the fragrance of the infinite. [Commentary § 178]

The gaze of Mnemosyne and Erato: from the Past to the Future
At present, Pluto (R1) is also (from a heliocentric perspective) in conjunction with Mnemosyne in Aquarius (R5). The Muses, guardians of beauty, transform our labours into sacred works. Mnemosyne, Weaver and guardian of the chronicles of Time, Mistress of the Soul, evokes from the Plutonian depths of infinite Space the Knowledge of a distant past, thus charting the radiant Path of the Future (Aquarius). Let us celebrate with Her the mystery of language, from which the images of the gods descend as the first exoteric product, a reflection of the higher Spheres upon Earth.
By its very nature, memory is an aspect of thought and, together with the imagination, becomes a creative agent. Since thoughts are things, we thus create the beauty of human becoming, faithful to the Model inscribed in the Great cosmic Heart!
Through Language, we learn to listen to silence.

Asteroid/Muse Erato conj. Mercury, conj. Venus
On 6 November, Mercury will be in conjunction with Erato and the beautiful Venus (R5 – Energy of Concrete Science) in Taurus. This triple conjunction between Mercury (R4) Beauty-Harmony, Venus (R5) Light of Intelligence, and Erato, the transmuting Force of feelings, invites us to turn the gaze of our hearts towards the sublime Unknown to reflect the Infinite.
Erato teaches us to express the immortal beauty of love. She reveals to humanity how to convey the freshness of divine Love and transform darkness into light, and death into immortality.

Venus creates Form (5) out of love (2) for the sake of Beauty (4)
Venus, which corresponds to the heart centre of the logoic body (of the solar Logos), enters into deep resonance with the Fire of Erato’s heart. As the esoteric ruler of Taurus, Venus is the source of the intelligent mind which acts through desire and, subsequently, through pure love:
“The consummation of the work that is undertaken in Taurus, and the result of the Taurian influence, is the glorification of matter and subsequent illumination…[…] When that has been consecrated, purified and spiritualized, then the glory and the light can indeed shine through… This is done through the influence of Venus, the symbol of earthly and of heavenly love, of both spiritual aspiration and of carnal desire [an influence amplified today by the conjunction with Erato], and is fittingly, therefore, the ruler of this sign [Taurus]. She is, above everything else, love, the creator of beauty and rhythm and unity.” (Alice Bailey — The Labours of Hercules, p. 22)
The Unknown and the Infinite are synonyms
The Mother of the World has veiled Her Face and remains unknown; yet this pulsating veil does not hide Her from the heart of those who wish to know Her, loving the infinite Space with commitment [Commentary on Infinity I – 36]. The Infinite calls. The voice of its silence resounds in the heart and convinces humankind that other worlds, other lives and other intelligences exist. The Infinite is the source of the great Silence, but it is also the true cause of beauty, for beauty is universal and perceives the Infinite [Ibid., 98-99].

Desire drives humanity to explore the planet and the Cosmos, matter and spirit. The task of exploring the Infinite is a higher Truth of Life, and it leads humankind back to its true Home.
