Symmetrically to the full moon of Gemini, to crown the Round Table of the 12 full moons set up for the current year, today we celebrate the full moon of Sagittarius – the Sign of the inflexible celestial Archer, who constantly points to the Galactic Goal and Origin, to the Centre of the centres.
The Sign of Sagittarius is connected, in our vision and legend*, to the constellation of Boötes, the Keeper of the Seven Oxen of the Big Dipper represented by the Star Arcturus (the King Arthur), a cosmic Atlas supporting the Vault of Firmament.
*
From the point of view of the evolution of consciousness, other mythical principles or symbols are normally associated with Sagittarius, as well as with the close Scorpio: Aquila (the Eagle), the Serpent-bearer Ophiuchus and the Centaurus Centaur Chiron.
“Sagittarius is the archer on the white horse, sometimes depicted as a centaur with bow and arrows. In this double representation, the centaur half man and half animal and the archer on the white horse, half human and half divine, the whole story is condensed. The white horse is always the symbol of divinity. Christ appears riding a white horse. This is how Sagittarius is represented in the Apocalypse. (…) The Centaur, the man who rides like a horse, or a horse with a man’s head and torso, represents the human being, since man is an animal plus a god. This is the lowest of the important constellations”, and is therefore connected both to the primordial chaos and to the figure of Chiron, the wise and benevolent centaur, teacher of Achilles, Jason, Hercules, Asclepius (Ophiuchus), Theseus, in many disciplines such as music, morality, astronomy and medicine.
Ophiuchus and the Centaur [1] Chiron are therefore celestial Sources of Wisdom that transform the brutal and primordial force of Nature into useful and beneficial energies, into virtue and knowledge: intelligent Fire of Love expressed in Form.
But, from the point of view of Life, the association between Sagittarius and Boötes (which siderally extends into the galactic segments of the Archer-the Goat and the water-Bearer) has emerged, mainly due to their connection as indicators and guardians, the former of the galactic Centre and the latter of the galactic North Pole.
On a planetary level, in ancient times (VI millennium BC) Boötes marked the North Pole, so in some myths it is associated with Atlas, the Titan (pre-Olympian cosmic primordial force) supporter of the celestial vault. Conversely, it was ‘discovered’ that this King Arthur holds the galactic Vault itself, being the Star closest to the galactic North Pole, set in the Coma Berenices (Berenices’ Hair): Arcturus/Boötes together with Alkaid/Ursa major and Denebola/Lion trace the triangle of brighter Stars around it.
In addition, Boötes is the Keeper of the Seven Rishis of Ursa Major, that is of the Source of the Seven Rays: he is the herdsman or Guardian of the “seven oxen”, the sickle or handle of the Big Dipper that the orange star Arthur (King Arthur), the first to appear in the sky at sunset, connects with an arch with the Star Spica (Guenevere, wife of King Arthur) in Virgo, the Mother of the Zodiac of the Heart. [2]
The Guardian of Ursa Major is therefore a cosmic Guide who governs, supports and directs.
Boötes is from the earthly-solar point of view associated with Libra and is “He who comes, the Saviour who will free humanity from enslavement to form” – symmetrical and akin in this to the Southern Fish (Pisces Australis), another symbol of the Avatars who are the saviours and keepers of the galactic South Pole.
The Sanskrit name of the mighty Arcturus/Arthur is associated with divine independence: it is the Swati star of the Hindu firmament, and holds one of the 28 lunar houses or nakshatras (those “asterisms or stars that convert dewdrops into diamonds”). The Svati sound in fact means ‘self-generated’, ‘self-reported’; it is the sound of Spirit in itself, realized and conscious. [3]
Arcturus-Svati in the Boötes constellation therefore appears to be a lever and a reference pivot for the conscious government of the Self, a cosmic King with whom the solar Soul identifies in order to free itself and triumph over the three worlds (the three lower cosmic levels), becoming a conscious Guardian of the Seven Rays (the Seven Rishis).
In the Quaternary of Constellations around the Galactic Summit, the celestial Arthur, Boötes, according to the dictates of the deepest polar Heaven (galactic North Pole) and of the Seven primary Fires (Ursa Major-Alkaid), presides, expands and arranges the evolution of solar Consciousness (Lion-Sirius-Sun) with the help of the 12 Knights of the Round Table (Zodiac at 12 Signs), through His divine Consort (Spica/Virgin, the Mother of the World).
The full moon of Sagittarius launches us therefore towards the most distant Worlds.
Sagittarius, the Archer aligned with the supreme Vertical, points to the Centre of centres, the Direction to the Goal and galactic Origin.
The fulfillment, the goal, is one with the origin.
*
At the Centre, in the Heart of the One Humanity, we assert:
I am the Will to direct to the Goal
The central Sun,
the Heart crucified on the Cross of Life,
looks to the Great cosmic Magnet
and flies to It, without any motion.
May the One Humanity radiate the perfection of Heaven!

* In this liturgical and solemn year, the seventh of the fifth seven-year period, we intend to celebrate the Full Moons as dates or directions of connection with the supreme stellar sources, rulers of our local universe, our cosmic Abode, the Entity in which “we live, move and have our being”.
To nourish this inner, rhythmic and powerful rite, we present at each ‘celestial appointment’ some extracts from the text The Order of Orion, “an astrosophical investigation of the solar and cosmic essence of humanity” (only available in Italian at the moment), to trace the possible infinite paths between the Moon and the One.
[1] Rigil Kentaurus is the closest star to the solar System and among the five main Stars of the southern hemisphere: in the southern “Pentacle”, formed together with Acrux (Southern Cross), Canopus (Argo Navis), Fomalhaut (Southern Fish) and Achernar (Eridanus), Rigil Kentaurus is the third brightest in the Firmament after Sirius and Canopus, and with Acrux it seems to distribute “with both hands” the vital and healing energy of the Milky Way. The star Agena (β Centauri) and α Centauri are the two stars indicating the nearby Southern Cross – with a similar function to Merak and Dubhe in Ursa Major, which point towards the current Polaris.
[2] It is interesting to note how the stars Arcturus and Spica lie on the same ecliptic meridian, so the Sun-Earth direction meets their projection on the ecliptic (conjunction) on the same day of the year. From the cosmic point of view, it is α Centauri to lie on the same galactic meridian as the lucid one of the Virgin/Spica.
[3] Sva is found in some fundamental Names: Sarai-swati, the wife of Brahma (the creator God), or the goddess of wisdom and knowledge; in “Swar, the sky, the air”; in the solar symbol of the Swastika – from sva, ‘what refers to oneself, what is proper’, and aastika, ‘having faith and trust’: the helix or cross of life. (H.P.Blavatsky, Theosophical Glossary)
Maitreya rides a White horse…..and guides to the Center as Centaurus is served by Chiron, and the Whole so Serves as the Great Attractor of the ONE…as is shown in the Great Singularity…..the Galactic Origin as is shown fusion paradigm ‘Chiron and group Fusion”.
