The new culture expresses the realization of the Spirit

The Full Moon Festival of Gemini has several ‘names’: The Festival of the Christ, describing Christ as Leader, guiding Humanity into the Age of Aquarius. The Festival of Humanity and Goodwill is the “festival of the spirit of humanity—aspiring to approach nearer to God seeking conformity to the divine will” and “dedicated to the expression of right human relations.” “It will be a day whereon the spiritual and divine nature of mankind will be recognized”.
World Invocation Day (established by Lucis Trust in 1952) is linked with the Gemini Festival to promote the understanding and use of the Great Invocation as a world day of prayer and meditation:
Let Light stream forth into human minds.
Let Light descend on Earth.
May the Coming One return to Earth.
Let purpose guide all little human wills –
The purpose which the Masters know and serve.
Let the Plan of Love and Light work out
And may it seal the door where evil dwells.
In June of 1945 at the Gemini Full Moon Festival, Christ gave the Great Invocation to Humanity and also made the decision to reappear again in physical form to lead Humanity into the Aquarian Age. The date of His reappearance will in great part be determined by Humanity having “prepared the way”, and meeting certain prescribed conditions which would make His Appearance, and Those He brings with Him, successful.
Prior to the Gemini Festival of 1946, the Master DK invited his students and all reading His words to participate with the Christ and the Masters in specific activities, and to intone the Sacred Word, OM, in groups: “Their united OM might approximate the appropriate keynote” sounded by the Masters augmenting the distribution of chosen thought energies worldwide.
“The Festival of June which is so uniquely Christ’s, and which emphasizes His relationship to humanity, in reality covers three whole days [in advance of the Full Moon Day], each with a different keynote:
- The keynote of Love in its hierarchical sense—free from sentiment, emotion and personal emphasis—a love that sacrifices and understands, that acts with strength and decision, and that works on behalf of the whole and not in the interests of any group or individual.
- The keynote of Resurrection, emphasizing the new note of livingness, of the living Christ and of that “life more abundantly”.
- The keynote of Contact, of a closer relation between Christ and His people, between the Hierarchy and Humanity.” (Externalization of the Hierarchy, 555)
