On the day in which we enter the sign of Sagittarius, that radiates in Space the power of Aspiration towards the Goal and the True, we solemnly assert, as planetary Server, that is, on behalf of the new Group of World Servers, the last of the 12 Assertions of the One Humanity (see introductory article and online ritual Celebration):*
Humanity directs to the Truth
“What is Truth?” (1) asks a confused and exasperated Pontius Pilate to Jesus Christ, perhaps in a last attempt to save him from death and certainly fascinated by the magnetism that this singular Man emanated even as physical pain was tearing him apart. Pilate, however, did not wait for Christ’s answer and left the room to propose to the Jews an exchange with Barabbas.
The answer had already been given, in a concise and definitive way, on the occasion of another question, posed by the apostle Peter, who asked “Master, we do not know where you are going; how can we know the way?”.
Christ answered “I am the way and the truth and the life” (2); enough to destabilise any current thinking and to be ‘thunderstruck’ by the power of this peremptory statement that sanctioned His perfect closeness with the Father, attainable only through Him.
And it is no coincidence that we can define Truth as “the essence of divine Will” (3) where the ardent and volitional heart of the spiritual Purpose, which Shamballa ‘knows’ and the Hierarchy ‘loves’, leaves its ‘elusive’ traces scattered through the lights of Space so that Man too can grasp them and align his ‘little will’ with the higher one.
“Does the music of the spheres signify the victory of human presumptions? Or does it hail the purification of forgotten Truth?” (4)
And present-day Humanity, equally confused and exasperated, asks Space, with ever greater insistence, the same question: “What is Truth?”.
Space responds as Christ answered; in the apparent silence that it emanates, it relentlessly launches the Appeal that calls men to the Truth of the Real, that clearly indicates the Way forward, that radiates Life in all of its atoms and that frees from the deceptions of what is apparent and illusory. Its cycles mark the approach of the True as they carve the Way and, in so doing, glorify Life.
But, as the Teaching admonishes, one must learn how “to hear … with the ears of the heart” (5) for it is the heart that is capable of grasping Truth and making it penetrate into the depths of the consciousness.
Humanity, despite the bewilderment in which it finds itself, continues to strive for truth, and to do so, it sets out to conquer ever new goals, in the hope that these, once reached, will reveal the essence of the Real, the ‘pearl of great value’ for which, as the Gospel admonishes, every good is sold, every partial truth is abandoned.
Indeed, Humanity, on its journey, seeks that incontrovertible truth capable of opening up to the inner eye and illuminating existence, a truth that is the peremptory sign of the fullness of the one Truth.
“Many truths are spoken of. Should not one break through their shells and strive to the One Truth? The most precise and objective observation of reality will broaden the consciousness. Indeed, the consciousness is that magic coffer in which all lost treasures will be gathered.” (6)
Advancing from truth to truth, Humanity discovers and unveils aspects of Being, and understands the divine will in an ever more intimate and vibrant way.
Thus, following the cycles of evolution, it not only leads itself to Truth, but also directs the lower realms to the True because “… the truth is not an abstraction; it is the realization of cosmic laws based upon direct experience.” (7)
The instrument to reach the Truth is concealed within us; the power of intuitive thought, capable of rising to contemplate the World of Ideas, is the guarantee of the attainment of Truth, which we can otherwise define as ‘the affirmation of what is’, the radiance of Being, the ‘flame of Light’.
“That a situation is without solution is only imagined by those who would rely on other people rather than upon the power of their own thought. Grief experienced by others flows like the ripples of a stream; but the images of Truth, which you call ideas, rule the karma of the world.” (8)
Let us therefore look for ‘images of Truth’ that know how to guide our path towards the Father; at the moment when the annual spiral is about to close, offering the fruit of its unfolding to the consciousness, we can already glimpse the beginning of a new turn of the spiral, capable of leading Humanity to another goal, another accomplishment.
And where the gaze becomes broader and purer, Truth reveals itself and in its ‘nakedness’ affirms and discloses with ever greater clarity what It is.
“Cosmos, the Builder,
and its reflection, the microcosm,
live by the same law.
An unlimited harmonizing process
goes on in Cosmos.
He who seeks Truth will discover the beauty
of unending Be-ness.”
