Today, our Earth, the ‘sphere of experience’, is in conjunction in the fifth sector of Gemini, the Sign through which divine Love ‘which sustains everything’ reaches us, with Jupiter, the magnetic planet of the synthetic divine second Ray of our second Solar System, connected to Love-Wisdom.
Gemini, fundamental for its subjective/inner rather than objective power, esoterically controls the heart of the Solar System and thus the pulse of life that sustains everything; it is therefore connected to the Heart of the Sun.
It is the entry point for cosmic energy coming from Sirius, the reference and higher Ego of our Sun; the great White Lodge of Sirius is the spiritual prototype of the one present on Earth.
Contemplating the Heavens we can thus imagine a luminous chain of hearts: Sirius as the Cosmic Heart, Jupiter as the systemic Heart, the Hierarchy as the planetary Heart and finally the hearts of the One Humanity, all pulsating in unison.
“Just as the sun is the heart of the system, the human heart is the sun of the organism. There are many sun-hearts, and the Universe represents a system of hearts; that is why the cult of Light is the cult of the heart.” (Heart § 62)
Love and Wisdom are two aspects of the same energy; Wisdom is characterised by a mental approach, while Love reflects more a consciousness linked to feelings. Thinking with the heart and loving with the mind are the results of their fusion; these goals concern the individual and will have to concern Humanity as a whole in the near future.
“There can be no true wisdom without love, and no love is perfectly expressed unless wisdom is its guide… wisdom is knowing with heart, and love, a kind of intimate understanding based upon unconditional positivity towards all that is best in whomever or whatever is loved.” (M. Robbins, Tapestry of Gods, vol. I)
Love is in fact a “… synthetic, inclusive grasp of the life and needs of all beings… it is the high prerogative of a divine Son of God to operate. It negates all that builds barriers, makes criticism, and produces separation. It sees no distinction, even when it appreciates need, and it produces in one who loves as a soul immediate identification with that which is loved.” (A. A. Bailey, Glamour: a World Problem, p. 5)
The ability to understand through Love “connotes the power of recession or the capacity to withdraw from one’s agelong identification with form life” (A. A. Bailey, Ibidem, p. 4); “Wisdom concerns the one Self, knowledge deals with the not-self, whilst the understanding is the point of view of the Ego, or Thinker, or his relation between them.” (A. A. Bailey, Initiation, Human and Solar, p. 12)
Understanding, or ‘the reunifying work of the mind’, gets to the crux of the problem because without Love there is no true interpenetration; Love is a very high form of vision by which the individual recognises what is essential and conforms personal activities to the divine plan, as Christ, who is its highest expression, has shown us.
“All wisdom is a form of light, for it reveals to us the world of meaning which lies behind the outer form. All understanding is an evocation of light, for it causes us to become aware of, or conscious of, the causes which are producing the outer forms which surround us (including our own) and which condition the world of meaning of which they are the expression.” (A. A. Bailey, Esoteric Psychology II, p. 467)
Wisdom is the wise application of Love and this concerns the whole of Humanity in its capacity to act for the Common Good. “Wisdom connotes skill in action as the result of developed love and the light of understanding; it is awareness of requirements and ability to bring together into a fused relationship the need and that which will meet it.” (A. A. Bailey, Esoteric Astrology, p. 494)
Through the integration of Love and Wisdom, only Good, the ‘supreme divine Energy’, can arise: “What is love of good? It must be understood that it not only includes the performance of good deeds, but also the ability to be enraptured by good. The latter condition is usually not assimilated, and remains misunderstood; it must be inculcated and cultivated in people. Only delight in good produces warmth of the heart. (…) When I spoke about the Fiery World, then love and good was naturally to be understood as a firm foundation for ascent. And how beautiful it is to be able to rejoice at good! How exquisite it is to be able to distinguish the petals of the Lotus of Good! And We rejoice at each manifestation of such joy. Surely such joy about Good is pure! Thus, let each one who dreams about the Fiery World first of all supply himself with love of good.” (Fiery World II § 143)
The task that awaits Humanity in the near future is not easy, but it becomes simple if these qualities, Love and Wisdom, are acquired, cherished and cultivated; once developed Humanity will have to apply them fully and consciously, not allowing itself to be misled by these troubled times and by the misapplication of them that can discourage action for the Good.
Some may ask, “Where then is the love that we know is the pillar of the world?” But can common good exist without love? There must always be less criticism and more thoughtful care. (…) The Thinker taught, “Benevolence is the distinguishing quality of the one who advances on the way.” (Supermundane § 509)
Humanity in its guise as the New Group of World Servers feels the urgency of the times and turns its gaze both to the heavenly Models and to the world from whence the cry of human pain rises.
“When, then, should one speak about the necessary concepts? Particularly when they have been transgressed. Precisely, then, let us speak about them when people already consider them hopeless. Why do We remind about Brotherhood just at present? Because people in their despair will come to seek the scattered seeds of the predestined Brotherly Community. Let us not be confused by the oscillations of the pendulum of life. Despair may be the forerunner of recovery of vision.” (Brotherhood § 6)
Today, therefore, we celebrate as one planetary Server, that is in the name of the New Group of World Servers, the Energies that the One Humanity must deploy to create universal Brotherhood on Earth, in the knowledge that, in its innermost essence,
Humanity is Love*
