[Translation of the Spanish article by Angela B. S.]
Today we celebrate the conjunction of Pluto and asteroid 84, assimilated to the muse Clio, guardian of history and epic poetry, because in order to proceed wisely one must value the Good and know the lessons of the past. She represents the appreciation and recognition of heroism. Pluto, reformer and destroyer of obstacles and all that impedes synthesis, the expansion of consciousness and the emergence of the New Man, is the vehicle of the First Ray, connected to Will, Power and death.
This “encounter” in the Heavens seems to suggest the value of reflecting on History, that “mysterious workshop of God” as Goethe respectfully called it, and on the role that the energy of Will in pursuit of the Vision has played in the progress of humanity.
It is this energy of Will/Power that has propelled humanity through the evolutionary process to develop its potential as the Fourth Hierarchy, the Hierarchy of human Monads, the one that synthesises within itself High and Low, Heaven and Earth, Spirit and Matter. “… History is built by the Hierarchy of life. The best steps of humanity were built by Hierarchy. The best achievements were affirmed by Hierarchy. Thus one can attain only through Hierarchy…”. (Hierarchy § 430).
In this progressive spiraling path, man “expands” as he develops his potentialities, his creative forces, the fire he carries with him as a creature of Space.
The esoteric Teachings of the trans-Himalayan tradition present the Human Kingdom as the central bridge between the 3 higher kingdoms (spiritual, planetary, solar) and the 3 lower ones of nature (mineral, vegetable, animal); they present as well the Idea of Humanity as the 3rd laryngeal or creative planetary centre, part of the Triangle ruling the Earth, along with the 2nd magnetic heart centre – the planetary Hierarchy – and the 1st Head centre, Shamballa, the solar Government on Earth.
They also refer to the Essence of Humanity as the Fourth Human Hierarchy, one of the 12 creative Hierarchies, or orders of conscious lives that constitute and build the manifested body of our solar Logos.
“That which will emerge when the Forces of Light have penetrated the world darkness will demonstrate the nature of the undying human spirit.” (Discipleship in the New Age I). This immortal nature manifests itself in what we know as spiritual values, those sparks of divinity that raised man above his ‘humanity’ and made it possible for the dreamed, the desired, to become reality. Aristotle observed that to propose to man only what is human is to betray man and to desire his misfortune, because from the main part of himself, which is the spirit, man is called to something better than a merely human life.
When one realises that there are worlds to be conquered, truths to be learned, difficulties to be overcome, desires to be fulfilled, knowledge to be acquired, one feels a painful sense of limitation, which stimulates a renewed effort and pushes the living entity along the path of evolution. … In that part of the journey we call history, the hero periodically emerges, the one who embodies the quintessence of his culture’s values and, discovering his mission in life, faces terrible obstacles to save mankind, revealing through his sacrifice new, barely perceived values, thus becoming an example to follow. The persistent human desire to go further… The same desire that has devoured hearts in the past, such as that of Alexander the Great and Magellan…
“… the heart is the stronghold of the hero…” (Hierarchy § 436).
The hero’s adventure begins when, in the ordinary world, he becomes aware of the need for a deeper liberation, when he perceives the vision of a new world, of unimaginable possibilities and yet conveying a fullness and meaning that drive him to self-sacrifice, taking him to a supernatural world where familiar laws and order do not apply and thus answering the call that from his true Self propels him into the infinite. He will embark on a journey of trials and by facing and transcending them, death and resurrection, he will have made a quantum leap that will allow him to improve the ordinary world and, in some way, elevate humanity.
“The first such [heroic] Teacher is of such ancient date that it is not possible to say when He truly lived; even His name is a modernised one, given to an ancient hero-teacher. His name is Hercules.
He presented to the world, through the form of a pictorial and world drama (symbolic in nature) the concept of a great objective, only to be reached as the result of struggle and difficulty. He pointed to a goal toward which men must make their way, no matter what the obstacles; these obstacles He portrayed in the Twelve Labours of Hercules which were dramas and not factual occurrences. … He depicted the Prodigal Son’s journey back to the Father’s house, and the tests and trials which all disciples, aspirants and initiates have to face and which all Those Who today compose the spiritual Hierarchy have already faced. When this statement is considered, it must include also the Christ…”. (The Reappearance of the Christ, pp. 103-4)
“Much work is being accomplished by man for men, and through the agency of scientific, religious and educational endeavour, the human consciousness is steadily expanding until one by one the Sons of God are breaking through their limitations into the world of souls. In the retrospect of history, the picture of the emerging prisoner, Man, can be seen in clear delineation. Little by little he has mastered the planetary boundaries; little by little, he has grown from the stage of cave man to that of a Shakespeare, a Newton, a Leonardo da Vinci, an Einstein, a St. Francis of Assisi, to a Christ and a Buddha. The capacity of man to achieve in any field of human expression seems practically unlimited, and if the past few thousand years have seen such a stupendous growth, what shall we see in the next five thousand years? If prehistoric man, little more than an animal, has grown into the genius, what unfoldment is not possible as more and more of innate divinity makes its presence felt? The superman is with us. What will the world manifest when all mankind is tending towards a concrete manifestation of superhuman powers?” (A Treatise on White Magic – TWM, p. 536).
There is therefore the artist/hero, Leonardo, Dante… creators of forms that embrace the Ideas that the Muses whisper: in golden section, with intellect of Love… Or Händel who, transcending the vicissitudes of his life in the three worlds, rises to listen to the magnificence of Creation and responds by raising in the flight of his heart a song of praise that gathers all the voices of the Earth: ‘Halleluja! Halleluja! Halleluja!’
Gratitude and Joy.
Or Beethoven, whose fiery heart resounds with the ideals of Freedom and Brotherhood that radiate through music into Space, as harbingers of the new age, exhorting us to become the new man, to become heroes.
“Humanity, still an imperfect expression of the Fourth Creative Hierarchy, central among the Seven of the “Solar Manifestation” and associated with the Buddhic plane, with Language, with the “Word made Flesh”, must therefore remember this Olympian origin and destiny and respond to it: it must be heroic, a conscious co-creator of the Gods and Muses, it must become a master of the “latent force in sound, in speech and music”, thus in turn supporting the evolution of the lower hierarchies and kingdoms.” (The Academy of Muses, TPS)
“Man’s consciousness is being released in varying directions and dimensions. It is expanding into the world of spiritual realities and beginning to embrace the fifth or spiritual kingdom, the kingdom of souls. It is interpenetrating, through scientific research, the world of super-human endeavour, and investigating the many aspects of the Form of God, and of the forms that constitute the Form.” (TWM, p. 537)
“… The Thinker [Plato] also said, “Learn to revere the Muses, who help you to become heroes. The Muses lead you to achievement, they accompany you in battle and in labor, and greet you with garlands of victory. The Muses transform your sufferings into beauty. The Muses will find you in the gardens that are adorned with the trees of knowledge. The Muses will not abandon those who revere them. Know how to serve the Muses, the Gate-Keepers of the Beautiful.”
Thus the Thinker directed human consciousness to Truth.” (Supermunda-ne § 188)
Throughout history we have had heroes, masters, saviours of the world. We are now in an era when, through the evolutionary process and zodiacal influences, a group is emerging that embodies ideas, goals, a constructive spirit of the new culture and civilisation that more closely reflects the intuited Plan which the Hierarchy is designing for the progress of humanity. It is known as the New Group of World Servers (the planetary Ajna Centre) and through its wise vision and the creative intelligence of the third planetary Centre, Humanity, the Will-to-Good of the planetary Heart executes the Plan. This Group, embodying the values of the past and perceiving the new ones beginning to manifest, as the process of integration and fusion of its members proceeds with renewed tension, becomes the planetary Server, the Group-Hero.
“The whole history of humanity demonstrates that it is the minority that has divined the course of evolution. And these few have drawn from somewhere the strength to overcome the obstacles.” (New Era Community § 225)
“The pearl of the heart is the most subtle tension. Only with that tension do We create worlds. The world of strivings builds the future. The source of love unites all that exists!” (Infinity I § 203)
Thus the planetary Server, conscious of its function as mediator between Hierarchy and Humanity, contemplates Heaven with a heart amplified by love, receptive to the impressions which from the cosmic Heart manifest the great spatial, hierarchical and ordered Communion; and with the conscious application of imagination, of Dream, undertakes the heroic work of creatively reflecting, through the Light of which it is the bearer, the future of the new culture and civilisation, the dream of the Plan of Love and Light.
“Dream of the future and you will see the regeneration of the world.
… Soar with your thoughts. Fly by affirmation. Fly by love.
… All is attainable.” (The Call § 333 and 328)
“The basis of all Logoic action is love in activity, and the fundamental idea on which He bases action connected with the human Hierarchy is the power of love to drive onward,—call it evolution, if you like, call it inherent urge, should you so prefer, but it is love causing motion and urging onward to completion.” (TWM, p. 115)
“The future belongs to hearts even more than it does to minds. Love, that is the only thing that can occupy and fill eternity. In the infinite, the inexhaustible is requisite. Love participates of the soul itself. It is of the same nature. Like it, it is the divine spark; like it, it is incorruptible, indivisible, imperishable. It is a point of fire that exists within us, which is immortal and infinite, which nothing can confine, and which nothing can extinguish … and we see it beaming in the very depths of heaven.” (Victor Hugo, Les Misérables).
“Every human being who reaches the goal of light and wisdom… will become a conscious centre of life giving force… He will act as a transmitter of light in the darkness. He will dispel the glamour around him and let in the radiance of reality.
When large numbers of the sons of men can so act, then the human family will enter upon its destined work of planetary service. Its mission is to act as a bridge between the world of spirit and the world of material forms. … and lift the subhuman kingdoms into heaven and bring heaven down to earth.” (TWM, p. 538)
“When … each Son of God is a perfected Sun, characterised by perfectly expressed light and heat, then the entire solar system, the greater Son of God, will be the perfected Sun.
The system will then be characterised by a “blaze of refulgent glory”, and by a radiation that will link it up with its cosmic centre, and thus effect the liberation of the Son, and His return to the far distant source from whence the primal impulse originated.” (A Treatise on Cosmic Fire, pp. 228-9)
“The thought of the future is already like gates to the Infinite.” (Hierarchy § 451).
Heroes with a fiery heart
in love with Space,
Let us create the future together
dreaming, singing… !
Infinite are the possibilities.
Infinite are the realisations.

Thank you for this brilliant, exquisite essay/
How can I leave a reply when I am left speechless…even, as a poet?! Truly a beautiful share.
